It's official, guys! I just read my first comic book!
There was a man with a used comic book stand at the flea market today. We had a nice geeky convo, and he helped me in deciding which comic books would be good to start with.
I ended up with 6 X-Men, 6 Iron Man, and one which was an X-Men/Teenage Justice League crossover-type deal, which the guy said was really good.
I am SO EXCITED, guys. I'm geeking out so bad right now, it's not even funny.
My only regrets is that I didn't get the Demon in a Bottle storyline (he had just sold it before I talked to him), which I heard was really good. And I didn't get any Deadpool. Darn it.
Oh well. All in all, it was a very good day!

Author's Note 1: Okay, can I first say that I HATED that they had Rogue take the cure in the 3rd movie (basically, I hated that whole movie itself). That completely ruined her character. But you can't blame her for wanting to be able to touch others, especially when humans are so driven by the physical aspect of things.
Author's Note 2: When you have absolutely no idea what to name something, call it "Iris". Worked out pretty well for the Goo Goo Dolls.

Even though my life is absolutely crazy this week, I decided to do this fest celebrating women of fandoms that are underappreciated. It's at womenlovefest. The deal is that every day for a week, I post something, anything, about my character. I chose Rogue, from the X-Men movieverse. Today is Day #1, so I'm going to start it with a basic background and go from there.
